Le Macere, the Organic Heart
Le Macere is an estate covering an area of over three hectares (that has been recently taken over by La Pace Hotel) and it is located in a quiet area just less than three kilometres from the town centre of Segni. It is surrounded by a chestnut wood and towering oak trees. Inside the park there are several fruit trees (cherry, apricot and wild plum trees) that blossom spectacularly in the Spring. The fruit from these trees is made into wonderful organic jam that the hotel offers to its guests. Autumn time is the season of an impressive variety of foliage that is always a wonder to be seen.
The estate offers its precious fruit to guests as well as its natural spiritual energy and wellness according to the season. It is possible to pick Segni chestnuts, cherries, apricots, ‘perneconcini’, a local name given to wild plums, blackberries, raspberries and tens of different kinds of mushrooms including the beloved porcini and chestnut mushrooms.
The reception and recreation areas that include an elegant stilt house residence with a counter current hydro-massage swimming pool, an 8-man football field, terraces, gazebos, barbecues, outdoor ovens and reception areas, have been designed adapting to the natural harmony of the environment and preserving its innate beauty.
