Colleferro, a Planned Community Town

Colleferro is just a few kilometres from Segni. It is a modern and busy urban town. It was built according to a specific urban project in no time and it dates back to 1935. It is an important industrial town where chemical explosives for civilian and military use, cement, thread for nylon tights, train carriages, phosphate fertilizers and missile components have been made. Nowadays it offers good town services for the whole area. There are some fascinating underground air raid shelters that are well worth a visit.
