Rome

Rome, the eternal city, is without any doubt one of the most wonderful and fascinating cities in the world and worldwide tourist guides recommend a visit to this city at least once in a lifetime.

Roma caput mundi is a well known Latin expression that means that this city had always been considered the capital city of the world. Even today it is still special. Wandering around the historical centre, walking by the ancient Roman ruins, you can admire medieval fortified towers, Renaissance Roman churches and basilicas, fine examples of Baroque architecture and contemporary architecture.

Rome offers a great variety of guided bus tours that are themed by specific interests and give the opportunity to discover a wide variety of millennial holy sites e.g. St. Peter’s Catacombes, The Basilica of St. John Lateran and 900 other churches, archaeological sites e.g. the Baths of Caracalla, the Colosseum, the Palatine Hill, Ara Pacis and the Appian Way, famous institutional buildings e.g. Il Quirinale, Palazzo Chigi, Palazzo Madama and many more, monumental fountains, green parks, traces of legendary artists e.g. Caravaggio, Bernini etc and modern areas and buildings e.g. EUR district and the Auditorium Parco della Musica).

The Capital is not only an enormous outdoor museum, it also offers hundreds of tourist attractions for everyone. They range from shopping, traditional Roman cuisine, Roman traditions, music, theatre, art exhibitions and literary events. Stories about Rome set in the summer of 1858 were told by the American traveller Henry Perry Leland in his Americans in Rome.
