The Monti Lepini Museums

The anthropologist Vincenzo Padiglione describes the Lepini Mountains cultural background in the preface of his Guida dei Musei dei Lepini guide as heterogeneous rather than homogenous from a historical and anthropological point of view.
Nevertheless this has been changing through the years, owing to the age of globalisation and the more distinctive cultural identity of Italian regions and provinces nowadays. Padiglione believes that the work of local institutions, corporations and of the museum network related to its history, tales and local customs has contributed to these evolutions.

The best way to really discover this land and culture of the Lepini local communities is to go on a cultural tour around the area and visit the museums at the towns of Artena, Bassiano, Carpineto Romano, Cori, Norma, Priverno, Roccagorga, Segni, Sermoneta, Sezze and Sonnino
